Here is the rough sketches of my new assignment at MICA. We had to take the 4 characters of another student and recreate them in our own style and create a villain for them. The character on the sheets that are lighter (water colored) and smaller are the original character and the bigger is my recreation of it. The character at the top is the villain I created. A quick summary of the story is in a futuristic world where everyone is hooked on drugs. The girl with the needle guns is the daughter of the man that created the drugs and she isnt on them. The other 3 recreated characters are on the drug and they are looking for a way to get off. The villain is the father of the girl with the needle guns and he has become insane with power and created this ultimate bot to help establish his reign not only as the monopolizer of the drug but as the strongest. He's kinda narcissistic.

I am in a character concepting class at MICA and I must say it is one of the hardest classes I have taken as an artist. The class mainly focuses on cartooning, something I am not use to but I think that I am coming along well. :)

Zèdek saber

I changed Raziel name to Zedek. It is a spin off the hebrew word for righteousness. The cybernetic seraphim Zedek, sent to maintain righteousness in the world.

Raziel

This is a character sheet I did of a character I am working named Raziel. He is a cybernetic seraphim. Here I was coming up with the overall look of his body. His color scheme is not black and white, my overall goal was to get the look and shape of the character. His colors are white gold and neon turquoise for the wings.

Raziel has 3 sets of wings. His first set cover his body to shield him from any incoming attacks.

His second set are used to fly.

His third set can be shot out to cut enemies in half or used to help him fly faster.

After concepting out the character I decided to concept out the wings more.

After further concepting out the wings, I came up with this. The first and third set of wings are attached to metallic tentacles which can be used to project the plasma wings at a target or project the wings in front of Raziel to shield him.

After Detailing out the wings, I decided to create an orthographic of the character.
